I’m Tom Herington, a documentary film editor with over 15 years’ experience shaping compelling, character-led stories for film and television.

My work spans observational, true crime, social and historical documentaries — from single features to multi-part series — for leading platforms including BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky, and Apple TV+.

I have a calm, creative approach in the edit suite, I collaborate closely with directors and producers to find structure, tone and emotional depth — always putting story and character first.
